Violent Peaceful Revolution.

I mostly just wanted to post an amazing song by a stellar band but I'm also going to go on a brief rant, feel free to just enjoy the tune if this isn't your thing.

While I sympathize with the repulsion expressed in the song I also truly believe that we not only can but must form a utopia together and improve the nature of the human race. We need to evolve past our outdated thinking and actions that give us wars, civilizations, hunger, governments, religions, money, greed, predation, hatred, etcetera.

It is possible for us to live together in peace and harmony forever. We should be exploring space not building up arms and promoting a system which keeps us all enslaved. We must see past the illusion of separation and realize that the entire universe is a single organism. We should start living up to our self appointed title of intelligent life.

This said I need to find a way to get my head out of the clouds and be the change I wish to see in the world. It's not going to be easy though as is the case with most things it's easier said than done and actions speak louder than words. But I need to take my time and make sure I use what little I do have with the right actions. Even If all I can do is just take baby steps and plant the seeds of hope for future generations.

I have unfortunately been gifted/cursed with ambitions and dreams that far exceed the capacity of a single lifetime.

I'll keep you posted.

Let's hope there's inteligent life somewhere up in space...because there's bugger all down here on Earth.

The Vatican looks to the sky for ET's.

The Hungarians proclaim aliens are amongst us.

My own ponderings on the subject have lead me to believe one, if not more, of the following to be true:

* The earth was made by God and we are the only lifeforms in existence.

* Aliens planted humans here on earth, explains the pyramids and the feeling I get when I look at the stars.

* Aliens have visited earth but were disappointed and left.

* Aliens are secretly amongst us.

* There are Aliens, but the universe is so massive we are unlikely to ever meet.

* We are the first planet to develop life, but others may join us.

* It’s really the year 50 AD, but there’s an evil spiritual force trying to make us forget that the kingdom of God is immanent. Twitter and Twilight are tools of said evil force.

* David Icke isn't a crackpot loony and creepy reptiles from the constellation draco secretly rule the world.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the subject, and expanding the list of theories.

Calvina Fay is full of shit

When debating Cannabis Law Reform she states and I quote, "The majority of people who do consume alcohol intentionally do not get drunk, whereas everyone who smokes marijuana for recreational purposes smokes it for the exclusive reason of getting high."

Apparently she has never been to a kegger, I would argue that 90% of people who drink alcohol do it for no other reason than to enjoy its intoxicating effects. Sure there are a few people sipping a glass of red wine on the weekends for heart health but these are the minority. Does she really think that people are lining up at the grocery store to buy a 30-Pack of Natty so they can drink one beer a day for the next month?

As for people smoking marijuana recreationaly with intent to get high...duh!

Climbing Mount Everest

Apa Sherpa, a Nepalese mountaineer, recently beat his own world record, by climbing to the summit of the mountain for the 19th time.

This makes me think about all the things that I hope I have time to attempt and how I could possibly manage all of the nonsense out of my life and leave enough room for the things that I really want to not only attempt but succeed at. For me spending a summer in Nepal, upon completing a bit more of my higher education, will be all of the climbing I will ever need, but for Apa there may never be enough climbing.

Some things we do ourselves, others we read about, still others we merely enjoy the sight of another doing. Time management is key.

music words corilations

every sentence has a beat, which is why a lot of bands have vocalists. But some bands PURPOSE-FULLY, as in with intent, do not have vocalists so as to, provoke intricate thoughts and discussions of their music not their words.

State of the Union Address

There is no longer a fallback in the safe laziness caused by the idea of the next generation. When you spoke of the revolution you said, “First we must nullify their authority. And then the next generation will take their power.” Make them the demon, incite the audience, and raise the curtains. Put the focus and negative opinions onto them. Juxtaposition their supposed monstrous and evil nature with our obvious snobbish assumed rightness. We are right and they are wrong. It is for that reason we riot to destroy the system. Groovy right? Wrong. There is no next generation to hope to come and put the power back where it should rightfully be. There is only NOW. There is only this moment and the next is uncertain, possibly may never even happen.

Unfortunately we can’t just wait for the next generation to sort out all of our problems for us, because this generations actions have given Mother Earth cancer and her time of death is indeterminate and what’s worse is that there’s even controversy over it. It’s not global warming, it’s not an incontinent truth, it is a Climate Change and directly responsible is our murder of the ozone layer by the byproducts of our capitalist society and the other industrial nations of the word. We have overcrowded this planet and we have warred out our welcome fighting amongst each other, but unfortunately Keaau Reeves isn’t likely to kill everyone on earth, just the people that don’t pay twenty-five dollars to take a chick they want to bang to see his movies so they might get some.

The Black Panthers say “Power to the People”. Damn straight. Where else would the power be? Did we lose it? If so, shouldn’t we then get a couple shovels, a flashlight, and go find it? Oh right…it’s The Constitution of These United States, I forgot that Hitler burned it and pissed on the ashes right before he left office, laughing, “Mwaahahahahaa” and chugging a beer bong and then finally snorting a phat gagger of coke.

As this is written, the North Koreans are planning their next test, troops are still in Iraq, there are people all over the world starving and suffering from overcrowding and a lack of education. Isn’t it ironic then that in the supposed greatest country in the world and the home of the brave and the free and the cheeseburger, our own educational system is a joke, nothing more than institutionalized babysitting. Our economy is fluctuating and on the verge of recovering or collapsing. Faith is scattered and people are scarred and depressed. We spend more money on bombs than books. Girls giggle and talk about MySpace, Idol, and who is a bitch or a slut and even worse the boys look like the girls now, which is even more confusing.

Moral values, good human decency, and the idea that the Vietnamese people in their rice patties are equal in value to the businessmen on Wall Street are all recovering today from a knife wound in the back delivered by an unknown suspect. The police list of suspects includes...THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. That’s right it is our lethargic “go with the flow” attitude that has gotten us into this situation.

The scale on which one side rests guns and the other presents butter has been weighed down for far too long by the guns in Iraq and maybe it’s about time we just put them down? The idea of peace is just another capitalist t-shirt on some “hippy” now, and it is sad. It is just plain sad to see a nation of free people go through eight years of borderline fascism imposed upon us by Bush II, in the vein of LBJ’s War and Bush I’s Gulf Conquest. Hmm…”Bush I and II” what a father and son team, but to me they seem more like King and Prince, a bloodline of hypocrisy. Now Obama is trying to pick up the pieces, but we just have to stop with the attitude that “it is ok to give up”. We are Americans god damn it and its time to get angry yet again. We need to be mad that our rights are being violated. We need to be pissed that the people of Iraq’s rights are being tortured by our troops.

The American Dream as it was once called died at some point during the night, but nobody even noticed or told anyone else about it, so it was just swept under the rug. I thought it might have made headlines, I can see them now: “Dust in the Wind: The Death of The American Way of Life”. But nothing, I thought they might at least slip quietly into the obituaries section, but no, nothing, not even a peep. I have a dream…that any man worth his salt, with a dollar in one hand and WD-40 in the other can do anything, become a millionaire, and die happy having lived well. I remember once another dream, a great dream that formed a nation, rid it of injustice, gave its people rights, and said that we are all equal in the right to pursue our own happiness, too bad they left the piece of paper they wrote it down on the back of out in the sun too long and it has spoiled, rotten to the core with people assraping accountability. Unfortunately the people responsible for this crisis have had direct access to our economy and they are treating it like the time your dad gave you $40 to buy a Christmas tree and you cut down a tree instead and pocketed the $40 for beer money.

The mobilization is you. It is me. It is now.
